The news of researchers finding microplastics in human blood and in the hearts of people undergoing cardiac surgery comes as no surprise. Plastic rules our daily lives. 

In this dream, I saw veins stretching all around, intertwined with all kinds of plastic. I found myself floating in a night sky of microplastics, being sucked deeper and deeper into the (dark) plastic hole. 

The plastic effect is created using plastic wrap on wet gouache. A mix of acrylic and gouache is then added to different layers.
